Too funny...had to share.
Brad:"Ethan did you poop?"
Ethan: "Nope"
So Brad goes and smells him because something was stinky.
Brad: "Ethan your lying...you did too poop."
Ethan: "no, Cameron pooped in my diaper."
Brad: "how did he do that?"
Ethan: "he just did it."
I so wish I had been here to hear him tell brad that Cameron was the one who pooped in his diaper. Too funny. What a kid!

Putting off potty training
So I am kinda bummed but we have decided to put Ethan back in diapers and wait another month or so to try potty training. I don't know why he had one superb day and then since then he has not went in the potty. And he is getting to the point now where he gets too worked up if I even try to take him in and have him just try. So we decided that since we still have diapers left we will just wait a bit longer. Maybe during this break I can work with him on sitting on the potty without getting all worked up. Anyway, I am going to go finish cleaning my living room. Just wanted to do a quick post. Will talk at you all later.

Bad potty training day
Ok so today wasn't such a good potty training day. He has refused to tell us or my mom when he has to go potty and has had accidents all day. I talked to my sister about it and she said Matthew had days like this too and to just keep reminding him to tell us and taking him in to try and if he does have a success to be sure to make big praises of it and not a big deal about accidents. So that is what I have told my mom since Ethan is up at her house tonight. She is bummed because she really wants to get to praise him for a success but he hasn't has a success yet. I told her to just hang in there and not let him bum her out too bad.
It is just so frustrating since we had such an awesome and dry day yesterday and today is like the first day of potty training all over again. Oh well we will just continue to remind him to tell us and make him go in and try occasionally and do the praise and sticker rewards if he does have a successful potty. I know he will get it but he is going to make sure it is his idea and on his own time. I keep praying that God will help me in this challenge and give me the patience to continue trying and ignoring the repeated accidents.
Well gotta go for now but will talk at you all later.

FRUSTRATED
So we had Ethan's appointment today. AND I AM MAD!!! I was told it was going to be the upper GI scope to look at the esophagus. So we go and instead it's a barium swallow test usually used for patients who choke on fluids. Ethan doesn't choke on fluids we already knew that so I got to spend an hour or more (lost track of time) trying to get Ethan to calm down enough to drink barium so that the radiologist could see if he swallows right and if the fluids go into his lungs or not. It was Hell to say the least. How do you get a 2 1/2yr old to drink barium on command?
Anyway so we got only half the swallow shots they wanted but Ethan was done he was not going to drink any more and we were all getting wore out so Dr. Bihde said we could be done. So now we wait for results. When I got home I called our nurse and she said that this is the first step that had they did the scope I was refering to we would have had to go to seattle or spokane. It would have been nice to have that clarification before we got to the exam and then to top it off they scheduled him for 11am with nothing to eat or drink 4hrs prior. My poor ethan was starving. We had to go to walmart and get heaters and drive around to keep his mind off of being hungry. But we are done with that part for now so hopefully it gives us some answers or a direction to go in anyway. Will keep you all posted.

Wow..I didn't know he liked that!
So another nice part about being home with the boys is I am learning that Ethan likes things I had no idea he liked. Today I made chicken nuggets, green beans, and applesauce. I figured neither would eat anything except the chicken nuggets but am trying to be diligent on offering fruits and vegetables daily. So anyway Ethan is one of those weird children that eats all of one thing before moving on to the next thing. So of course he starts with the chicken nuggets. Eats all of those and then heads for the applesauce. I didn't know he liked applesauce. He ate his bowl, Cameron's bowl and then finished off mine. While he was eating the applesauce I got him to eat about 3 green beans before he very politely said "all done with those please put it down on that plate." He was so cute. But I have now found out within the past 3 weeks that he likes pears and peaches too. He even tried salad last night for me. WOW! so different from Cameron who won't even try things for us and definetly won't eat any fruits or vegetables. So another life's lesson learned as a stay at home mom...just because one kid won't eat it doesn't mean the other one won't. What have I learned? keep offering them fruits and vegetables at least maybe Ethan will eat it. Well gotta get some cleaning done Brad should be home in 30mins and I haven't done anything all day.
